This is because it could be from the DGT (General Directorate of Traffic), an Autonomous Community, or a city council. To pay it, you must do so directly with the organization that sanctioned you. In any case, in this post, we will tell you how to pay a DGT traffic ticket.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>You should know that you can pay it during the voluntary payment period. This period lasts 20 calendar days from the date the notice was served, and generally results in a 50% reduction in the amount due.<\/p>\n<p>After this 20-day (voluntary) period, the regular period begins. This period lasts up to 45 days after receipt of the notice, and the 100% fine must be paid. Once the regular period has ended, the penalty is transferred to the State Tax Administration Agency, which collects it with a 20% surcharge.<\/p>\n<h2>How to pay a DGT fine: available methods<\/h2>\n<p>If you are in the voluntary period, here's how to pay a DGT fine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Online<\/strong>\n<p>To make a payment through this channel, you must have the notification date and case number available. To make the process easier, you can scan the QR code found on the fine, and this will provide you with all the necessary information to complete the payment without issues.<\/li>\n<li><strong>On the phone<\/strong>\n<p>By calling the 060 phone number and using a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Maestro). This is an automated service system that operates 24 hours a day, year-round.<\/li>\n<li><strong>From the miDGT app:<\/strong>\n<p>This is an app for mobile phones and tablets from the DGT. There you can check and pay your fines for free. It works on iOS and Android.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In-person<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>At Caixabank branches and ATMs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>At any post office, by card or in cash. By paying an additional fee of 2.25 euros plus 1.50% of the fine amount.<\/li>\n<li>At any Traffic Headquarters or Office, with a credit or debit card.
